Cape Tribulation has a variety of places where you can eat out - from expensive a la carte restaurants to casual cafes and backpacker places. Four out of the six establishments are within walking distance of our Bed and Breakfast. The other two can be reached within 5 minutes by car. FERNTREE RAINFOREST RESORT
WHET
Provides a high standard of dining, and receives rave reviews from our guests. Excellent service, excellent food and great wines. Main course is priced between $28 and $32. THE BEACH HOUSE
PKS JUNGLE VILLAGE
Within walking distance of our bed and breakfast, PKs provides budget priced meals for both lunch and dinner. Swimming pool is located just off the verandah near the bar, so it is possible to sit and by the pool while you eat. Licensed and drinks are reasonably priced.
PICNIC LUNCH
Cape Tribulation Beach Located one kilometre to the north of the Cape Tribulation village, where the bitumen road stops, take the signposted turn off to the right. Picnic tables, toilet, car park. This is the most sheltered beach at Cape Tribulation, and a pleasant place to sunbake. Fairly crowded (by Cape Trib standards) during the season. At peak times you may not be able to get a parking space. Walk to look-out, and north along beach to the Beach House. Places to have a picnic - without facilities in the Cape Tribulation area Places where you could have a picnic lunch are described in more detail in the self guided walks page, but they have no facilities, and you carry your food into the location: Emmagen Creek swimming hole Emmagen Beach, located 7 kms north of Cape Tribulation; Mt Sorrow viewpoint located 2 hours climb above Cape Tribulation |
