Climate Requirements Hardy tree, can grow in most parts of the tropics and subtropics. Comes from theCentral Americas. Frost resistant.

Culture

Young trees need protection from cold wind. Light feeding frequently. Many cultivars so select one appropriate to your climate.
Harvesting Fruit mature in late winter over a 5 month period. Picked when stem breaks easily. Ripens to soft in 5-7 days.

until first crop
Five years. Grafting or air layering is recommended.
