"Wildwood was beyond our expectations.  A truly amazing, magical place surrounded by nature."  Carl, England

Wildwood House is ideal for families or friends to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and completely unwind in the very heart of the Daintree rainforest. There is plenty to entertain children of all ages, from the new swimming pool to our trampoline and table tennis area, while parents relax and immerse themselves in the natural beauty all around. Cook outside, discover the unique flora and fauna and enjoy a moonlit dip in our beautiful pool!

Wildwood accommodates 4-6 guests with views of the gardens and rainforest from every room.  The house is furnished with handmade Balinese furniture and offers a master bedroom with king-sized bed and large en suite bathroom with shower and roll top bath. It has a study (with comfortable sofa bed which acts as a second, open plan bedroom) while an adjoining garden apartment with king-sized bed (or two king singles), en suite bathroom and large verandah with recliners is also available for guests.

The house provides a modern kitchen, large lounge with fireplace, HDTV and music centre, and two huge verandahs with Balinese daybeds, recliners and handmade wooden furniture so you can really make the most of living in the jungle. There is also a large gazebo with a bbq, handmade dining table, daybed and hammocks which make the perfect spot to relax, listen to the birds and watch the butterflies.

Guests can cook on an open fire under the stars with our fire pit with landscaped gardens, benches and table just a few metres from the house. We added the private swimming pool in early 2021, the perfect spot for cooling off, especially at night, and we now also have a trampoline, table tennis and basketball. Everything you need for the perfect family break is right here!

In the surrounding area, there's so much to enjoy, from fruit picking in our orchard and discovering tasty treats you may not have even heard of, to exploring the Great Barrier Reef, cooling off in the creek or hunting for bugs. For rainy days there is a large library of DVDs and books, as well as TV, wi-fi and landline. We now have mobile phone coverage in Cape Tribulation but there is still the option to switch off and enjoy the experience of escaping from the rest of the world!

We generate our own energy from solar panels and harvest rainwater to minimise our carbon footprint, and encourage guests to do the same: we ask guests to keep use of electronic devices to a minimum and items like hairdryers and hair straighteners are sadly not permitted.
